The Tender Watcher

Omar Farooq · CEO, Vertex Distribution — tenders found on the day they close

Public and corporate tenders are announced in a dozen places Omar doesn’t read: procurement portals, newspaper legal pages, the odd corporate website. Vertex hears about the good ones from a friend — usually the day before they close, sometimes the day after.

The Tender Watcher reads the portals and notices weekly, keeps only what matches what Vertex actually supplies, and delivers a shortlist with deadlines while there’s still time to bid.

The mock

A sketch of the weekly shortlist — not yet built for a client, which is why it fades out.

Vertex Distribution

Tender Watch — week 24: 3 matches

public portals + corporate notices · matched to your supply lines

University dry-goods supply — closes 26 June

Pre-bid meeting on the 18th. Matches your FMCG lines; last year’s winner is reportedly exiting.

Provincial health department — hygiene supplies, 2-year rate contract

Closes 30 June. Requires GST registration and three supply references — you have both.

Filtered out: 14 notices

Construction, IT, pharma-grade — outside your lines. Listed at the bottom, one line each, in case the filter’s wrong.

What we’d build

The essentials

We run this for you. You don’t operate anything; the shortlist just arrives. Your decisions: what Vertex supplies, and how tight the match must be.

2–3 weeks
Honest note
The filter shows its rejects — fourteen one-liners at the bottom, so a wrong ‘no’ costs you a glance, not a contract.
