Ask five suppliers for quotes and you get five formats: two PDFs, an Excel, a WhatsApp photo of a typed page, and a phone call someone scribbled down. Comparing them properly takes more focus than anyone has time for, so it happens properly about twice a year.

The Quote Comparer takes the stack and returns one normalized table — unit prices aligned, delivery and payment terms side by side, hidden costs flagged, odd clauses named. Vertex still picks the winner; it just finally sees the race.
